Animal-friendly goose farming
Our best goose down comes from northern Germany. The "Dithmarscher Gans" are reared on pastures in northern Germany, which are ideally suited to goose rearing thanks to their optimal water balance, extensive grassland and a customised, temperate climate. This region offers ideal conditions for the geese to grow up healthy. The geese grow up on traditional farms, where they spend most of their time outdoors and have plenty of exercise. This species-appropriate husbandry contributes significantly to the high quality of the down, which is known for its particularly soft, large fluffy properties.
Large flock goose down
This large-flake goose down from northern Germany is known for its outstanding quality and exceptional warmth properties.
Due to the cool climate, geese develop particularly fluffy and large-flake down, which helps them to keep warm.
Large-flake goose down is characterised by its high fluffiness. This means that they are able to store a lot of air and therefore provide particularly good insulation against the cold. At the same time, they are extremely light and breathable, which helps to ensure that duvets and pillows are not only warm but also pleasantly airy.
TENCELTM LUXE
Soft and cosy, naturally temperature-regulating and breathable, shimmering and flowing. This is TENCEL™ LUXE, the fabric for the cover. The luxury fabric's fine eco-filament yarn is made from pure wood cellulose. The yarn is wafer-thin and weighs 40 grams per ten kilometres; there are 250 kilometres of yarn on a bobbin. The cover feels like a second skin. Light, silky and completely natural. Compared to silk and other natural materials, TENCEL™ LUXE is more environmentally friendly to produce and is characterised by better washability. The yarn made from the raw material wood has an excellent eco-balance.
