Our different types of slatted frames
The slatted frame is the basis for healthy and restful sleep. Here you will find a selection of slatted frames that are perfectly tailored to your individual needs.
Trioflex slatted frame
The Trioflex slatted frame is our recommendation. This slatted frame is basically available in 2 versions, the most commonly used with manual head and foot adjustment or the electrically adjustable Trioflex Motor slatted frame.
Good slatted frames such as the Trioflex offer outstanding sleeping comfort and fulfil the highest quality requirements. The Trioflex slatted frame is made of solid beech plywood and is fitted with 42 flexible and extremely permanently elastic TPE caps. The slatted frame shoulder lowering has a shoulder comfort zone with mechanical lowering, ideal for side sleepers. The Trioflex slatted frame also has a self-adjusting slatted frame centre zone reinforcement with firmness regulation clips.
Motorised adjustable slatted frame Yverdon
Our recommendation for electric slatted frames: The Swissbed motorised frame has an integrated lumbar support, an adjustable centre zone reinforcement, a variable shoulder comfort zone and spar-covering caps.
The big difference to most other motorised adjustable insert frames is that the motors and the associated mechanical parts are integrated into the frame, which has an ultra-flat design with an overall height of 10 cm. This makes the Yverdon motor suitable for all beds where crossbars or other parts obstruct the lifting and lowering fittings and then do not work. At the same time, the mechanism of the Yverdon motor is extremely flexible and therefore very robust and durable. In the case of slatted frames with metal fittings, the linkage may warp and break if you sit on it when it is raised.
Capistrano slatted frames
If you are looking for an inexpensive slatted frame, then the Comfort or Relax slatted frame is just right for you. As the Comfort slatted frame has caps that cover the bars, the Comfort slatted frame is clearly superior to the Relax slatted frame as the spring caps can move more freely. However, if you are looking for a very affordable slatted frame, the Relax slatted frame is the right choice.Advantages of motorised slatted frames
With a motorised adjustable slatted frame, the head and foot sections can be infinitely adjusted at the touch of a button. This allows the reclining position to be adapted to personal requirements, whether for sleeping, reading, watching television or relaxing. This flexibility is a great advantage, especially for people who spend a lot of time sitting up in bed.
They know how tedious it sometimes is to cover a double bed with a fitted sheet. With a motorised adjustable slatted frame, you can raise the headboard and footboard, pull the fitted sheet comfortably over the corners and lower the slatted frame again.
The automatic raising of the head section can make it easier for people with restricted mobility to get in and out of bed.
Slatted frame actual size
The dimensions given for slatted frames differ from the actual dimensions. This is known as the internal dimension. The reason for this is that the slatted frame must always be slightly smaller than the bed frame, otherwise the slatted frame would never fit into the bed frame.
Slatted frame 70x200 cm has internal dimensions of approx. 69x197 cm
Slatted frame 80x200 cm has internal dimensions approx. 79x197 cm
Slatted frame 90x190 cm has internal dimensions approx. 89x187 cm
Slatted frame 90x200 cm has internal dimensions approx. 89x197 cm
Slatted frame 100x200 cm has internal dimensions approx. 99x197 cm
Slatted frame 120x200 cm has internal dimensions approx. 119x197 cm
Slatted frame 140x200 cm has internal dimensions approx. 139x197 cm
Slatted frame overlengths:
Slatted frame 90x210 cm has internal dimensions approx. 89x207 cm
Slatted frame 90x220 cm has internal dimensions approx. 89x217 cm
Caps that cover the bars
Caps that cover the bars of slatted frames offer several important advantages that significantly improve sleeping comfort and the functionality of the slatted frame:
Maximum spring effect right up to the edge
With conventional slatted frames, the slats often end inside the frame, meaning that the area near the edge is less elastic. Caps that cover the slats ensure that the slats extend beyond the frame. This enables even suspension across the entire lying surface, which is important in the centre of a double bed. This means you enjoy optimum comfort and support at every point on the slatted frame.
Avoiding hard edges at the edge of the bed
Thanks to the spar-covering caps, there is no hard edge at the edge of the bed, which can be uncomfortable with a conventional slatted frame. This ensures a more even lying position, especially if you sleep close to the edge of the bed or turn over frequently.
Slatted frame for side sleepers
A slatted frame for side sleepers should definitely have a mechanical shoulder comfort zone. In combination with the shoulder comfort zone of the mattress, it provides enough space for the shoulders to sink in properly. A well-developed shoulder comfort zone relieves pressure-sensitive shoulders and can have a preventative effect against shoulder pain.
